Tri-Knights - Florida Challenge Half Ironman

In the Florida Challenge Half-Ironman in Clermont Saturday, October 20, Mark Dickie placed 6th of 26 in his age group in some tough conditions. We also had a contingent of TriKnights out there manning a water stop for the Ironman and half-Ironman racers.

Congratulations to the UCF TriKnights who placed first in the collegiate team division at the Longleaf Sprint Triathlon today, beating the University of Florida TriGators!!!! TriKnights placed 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th in the collegiate division for the team win. Go TriKnights.

Individually, your president, Alvaro Buenrostro, and Ryan Parker placed 2nd and 3rd OVERALL in the race. And in the 15-19 age group, Tyler Sununu was 1st, Richard Benson 2nd, Luis Berrios 4th, and Andrew Mertens 5th. We certainly had a presence in that age group! Gerrard Hubbard, Charlie Springer, and David White raced in the 20-24 age group.

In the women's race, Courtney Wagner was 3rd OVERALL and Stephanie Konter raced in what I believe to be her first or second triathlon. Ladies, we need more of you out there so you can win the women's team division.
