ROCK CLIMBING!

UCF's Rock Climbing Club won first place at the Collegiate Climbing Series National Tournament in Austin, Texas. Nine UCF students competed against the best collegiate-level climbers from across the nation, and two students, Charles Garcia and Andre Torres, came in first and second place in the overall individual competition

Tennis - NIRSA Nationals 09

The University of Central Florida Club Tennis Team competed in the 2009 USTA National On Campus Championship. The tournament was held April 16th-18th at the Surprise Tennis and Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona. UCF Club Tennis Team had an amazing run while making club history. On the first day of competition, UCF had the upset of the tournament by beating University of California-Berkley who was ranked #2 in the nation. The win came in pool play which allowed UCF to move onto the Gold draw for the first time ever, creating UCF history. The next day of the tournament, UCF beat University of California-Davis and Rutgers University in the quarterfinals of the gold draw. On the final day of competition, UCF lost in the semifinals to the University of Wisconsin in a super tie-breaker by one point. UCF rebounded from the lost to defeat five time national champions Texas A&M. The UCF knights ended the tournament by placing 3rd and also winning the sportsman award, which was voted by their peers.
